Manure Composting, Kofert – Romania

The manure composting project through aerobic fermentation, implemented by Kofert Organic in the localities of Mihăilești, Giurgiu County, and Băicoi, Prahova County, aims to reduce methane emissions, a significant greenhouse gas. By transforming manure into high-quality compost, the project contributes to reducing environmental impact and improving soil health.

The project seeks to provide a sustainable solution for manure management by implementing modern aerobic composting technologies, significantly reducing methane emissions and contributing to the circular economy by turning waste into valuable resources such as natural fertilizers. The initiative supports local communities by promoting eco-friendly agricultural practices and reducing pollution caused by traditional manure management methods, aiming to create a replicable model for other rural regions in Romania and Europe.
